First EasyBooks Paperwork Deadline is Looming
After close of business on that day, we will be adding a 5% additional charge to your final invoice.
We’ve already had many clients hand in their paperwork and had their tax returns completed. Why not do the same, avoid the panic of a late submission and that extra 5% charge.
If you need a reminder of what paperwork and documents we may need to file your Year End, please check out our March newsletter via our website
- Your accounts manager will be in touch if necessary, regarding any missing paperwork please acknowledge them with a response as soon as possible.
- Chasing for paperwork may lead to a pause in your self-assessment being processed and not being completed on time.
- If you have been contacted by us to renew your Photo ID or Proof of Address, please acknowledge us with a response. By law, if we do not have your current AML details, we have to pause all work that
- we are in the process of doing for you. This may also lead to your self-assessment not being completed on time.
- We are not obligated to remind clients individually to bring in their self-assessment paperwork
Thank you in advance.
In March 2021, the government announced it was extending the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (Furlough Scheme) to a new deadline of 30th September 2021.
From 1 July 2021, the government will pay 70% of wages up to a maximum cap of £2,187.50 for the hours the employee is on furlough.
From 1 August 2021, the government will pay 60% of wages up to a maximum cap of £1,875 for the hours the employee is on furlough.
For claims from 1st July 2021, employers must top up employees’ wages to make sure they receive 80% of their wages (up to £2,500) for the hours they are on furlough. The caps are proportional to the hours not worked.
Find out more about how the scheme is changing by clicking on this Gov.uk link
Claims for furlough days in July 2021 must be made by 16 August 2021.
2nd Payment on Account
If you are one of our Self-Assessment clients, please remember the 2nd payment on Account for 20/21 is due on Saturday, 31st July.
You should have received a statement from HMRC if this applies to you.
For more information please go to the Gov.UK website.
‘Payments on account’ are advance payments towards your tax bill (including Class 4 National Insurance if you’re self-employed). You have to make 2 payments on account every year unless: your last Self Assessment tax bill was less than £1,000.
Chloe Is Moving On
It is with a heavy heart that the EasyBooks team have to bid a fond farewell to one of our team members, Chloe.
Chloe joined us September 2017 as an apprentice and whilst working full-time with day release, she achieved her AAT level 2, 3 and 4.
Chloe has decided to further her education and plans to attend University this coming September.
All of the EasyBooks team will miss her and are proud of her achievements, plus her dedication and support to all our staff and clients. She really was a great addition to the team. We want to wish her all the very best for her future ventures in life.
